Sweet Stop Sketch

I love their sketches! http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/This is one I will use again for sure :) I can't stop making Christmas cards even though I finished mine months ago. I just love snowmen and even though this is a retired set from SU I still can't part with it. I colored them in with Copics and then added glitter to parts of it. I used a Sakura Glitter pen for the image and Stickles for the snow. The doodling you see is my "stitching". It looks much better irl, and I added some dots of Stickles to it. I wanted it to look whimsical and free since I think the stamp is. KWIM? I used some buttons and the felt bird and voila! The paper is shimmery Jack Frost by Bo Bunny. TFL!

Beate's Sketch Challenge

When I saw Beate's awesome sketch challenge, I knew that was the one I was going to use today. When I like a sketch a lot, I save it as my computer's desktop picture. That way I can always see it and have it handy. My attempt at saving trees and reducing clutter! Anyway, last night I went to Ben Franklin and was so excited to find a Christmas Cat's Pajamas Swanky Clear set. I absolutely love those penguins and I thought the concept of the see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil was really clever with the Naughty or Nice sentiment. So popped those cuties up with foam dots and then stuck them on the background paper that I stamped with those swirlies. TFL and hope everyone has a fun weekend with lots of stamping!

SC on SCS
Yesterday was the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers and I really liked! I wanted to make something somewhat vintage but definitely Parisian, since if I could choose anyplace in the world I could be, it would be Paris. I used cream cardstock from Close to My Heart and inked it with Distress Courderoy ink and layered it with some pp in my stash. I glued some fringe to the bottom of the pp and then tied some cream organdy ribbon around it. Merci- from A Muse was embossed with Chocolate embossing powder. Paris and chocolate just seem great together :) Have a great evening and tfl!

CAS on SCS
I made this card for the Clean and Simple card challenge on Splitcoast. We were supposed to, as the says, make a card that is uncluttered and focused on the main image. So I used minimal embellishments. The main image is a stamp from A Muse and is colored with Copics. I wanted the glasses to look like glasses, so I used Crystal Effects on them. I like glitter and so thought it would be fun to use the CE as glue, so I did. LOL, I did find you can use too much glitter. TFL!
Paper:Bazzil Pink, Memory Box Aerial, Bo Bunny dots. White,
Embellishments: Prima flower, Crystal Effects, glitter, Dew Drop, Stickles.
Have a great day!

My first Post!!!!
I have wanted to try sewing buttons on this image for the snowflakes for a while now. Finally I did it and I can say that it isn't really easy sewing buttons on cardstock! With that said, I used some buttons from my lss that came in a big bag of all sizes and used some flower ones for the big snowflakes. Then littler ones, etc. The darker looking berry thingies are Dew Drops- Paris( I am a sucker, I will buy anything with the name Paris in it or anything related to France!) . This was a sketch from The Sweet Stop. http://sweetstopsketches.blogspot.com/
Paper: Chocolate Bazzil, White, Memory Box PP
Elements: Buttons, Dew Drops, Ric Rak ribbon, Felt bird, bling
Stamp: Warm Wishes- Hero Arts
Thanks for stopping by! I have had my blog name picked out for weeks but this is my first post!
